Headstone Maintenance Opportunity at Augustana

Headstone Revival, a gravestone cleaning and washing company owned by Matthew Mickelson in Nicollet, will be in Gibbon this summer to lift headstones that have sunken into the ground and to wash any needing cleaning.  If you or anyone you know would like to get more information on this service, please contact any of the Augustana cemetery board members (Otto Hartmann, Curtis Olson, Mark Turtle, Bob Sievert or Jim Berger).

AUGUSTANA TREASURER TEAM

Augustana is putting together a TREASURER TEAM.   Please consider sharing your time in helping to keep our financial records.   Let a council member know if you can cover any one of these duties:

·       Recording offerings

·       Entering income and expenses in Quicken

·       Paying expenses

·       Running monthly reports (Annual Reports)

PRAYERS FOR PASTOR AND FAMILY

We extend our deepest sympathy to Pastor Leonard and his family following the passing of his brother-in-law this past week. Please keep Pastor and his family in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve and tend to family matters.

Pastor will be away for the next month attending to personal family business. During this time, we will have a Visiting Sunday next Sunday, Labor Day weekend, followed by pulpit supply for the three subsequent Sundays.

We ask for your prayers and support for Pastor and his family during this difficult time.

STEEPLE FEST – SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH

Steeple Fest at St. John’s Lutheran is just around the corner!   St. John’s members, please check your mailbox for important information, including your work schedule. If you are not scheduled to help but would like to volunteer, please contact Mary.

Join St. John’s on Sunday, September 13th for a delicious Windsor Chop Dinner, grilled by the Pork Producers.  Drive-thru and indoor seating will both be available.

The WELCA Bake Sale will also be taking place.  Ladies, please consider donating baked goods or fresh garden produce to help make the sale a success!

Thank you for helping make Steeple Fest a wonderful community event.

Beginning September 1st, Communications can be found in the weekly bulletin. The website is in the process of being updated. Church locations with contact information, worship schedule and online giving will continue to be available at https://neighborsinchristmn.org/.

Parish news and worship videos will be discontinued.  

We need volunteer(s) to help with our website and digital communications. If you have computer or website experience and are willing to serve, please contact Lisa Taralseth or a council member.
