NIC Council Committees
These groups were formed to help us organize and manage Church work while we are in this pulpit supply chapter. These groups may change or responsibilities within them as we move through this process of calling our next Pastor.
Parish News
Members:
Responsibilities: NIC Council Leader, Tech Team
* Team Member on the Tech Team, support for decisions regarding all NIC Concil communications & direction from the NIC Council on future directions.
* Connection to share news and decisions to the NIC Council members.
Education
Members: Lisa T & Catherine S
Responsibilities:
* Identify curriculum for all education programs, working with all Churches
* Help identify Leaders within these programs
Interim
Members: Cal & Justin
Responsibilities:
* Managing the Interim process
* After NIC Council approval, work with candidate chosen
* Build the Interim Pastor work detail & compensation package
Pulpit Supply
Members:
Responsibilities:
* LIne Up Pulpit Supply Pastors
* Provide all necessary materials for Pulpit Supply support
* Provide bulletin & worship schedules prior to service
Worship
Members: Amy T & Sue B
Responsibilities:
* Prepare the bulletin template
* Work with all Churches to complete details of the service

Council Minutes
Minutes of March NIC Council
March 12,2026
Members present Steve K, Steve A, Bonnie H, Justin T, Curtis O, Cal R, Mary R, Mike T, and Sue Bentz as guest for Don Bentz ALC board representative Also Pastor Leonard Hummel.
Secretary report was read with the corrections of last meeting minutes stating that Mary Roberts was not a guest but a council member. Motion to approve motion to approve by Mike T and seconded by Bonnie H. motion passed
Treasurer report was given by Cal R and it stated that there is no new activity, since we do not have a person elected for that position.
Pastor report was given.
Old business: Discussion on Treasurer was discussed and more discussion of Administrative Assistant duties. The NIC parish agreement was discussed concerning calling of ministers. Congregational vote to amend constitution. Meeting notices to go out on May 3rd and 10th with vote to be held on the 17th of May.
New Business: Organizational of NIC Justin T was nominated for President: Steve K made motion and was seconded by Mary R. Motion Passed.
Vice President: Steve K was nominated Curtis O made motion and was seconded by Steve A . Motion Passed.
Secretary: Curtis O was nominated Steve K made motion, seconded by Justin T, motion passed.
Treasurer: Cal R: was nominated by Steve K and seconded by Justin K Motion passed.
With no other business motion to adjourn was made by Steve K and seconded by Steve A. Motion passed. Meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer
Next meeting set for May 13th at 7:00, St. Johns Bismark.
